Okay, I know you're reading out there...MK will fascilitate!

Alright, while I'm at home on medical leave, I know you're still reading...the more you read, the more books I can send in...let me know what you're interested in. Blog it I buy it...Blog it I find a way to get it...you want Lupica, I have 3 new ones on my bookshelf! You love Dessen, I have 7 right here...Come on y'all, blog it! Here's the Lalk theory, let it live loud n clear: No one hates reading, they just haven't found what they love to read yet...you love 4 wheelers, pick up a non fiction in the media and ask Ms. Green what she suggests next. Don't worry as much about level, but interest. Ask Mr. Brinck if he still give EC for reading non fiction history books, I have tons, peruse my shelves and take a quick test, they're all short, to the point, and we need to learn about history so we do not make the same mistakes, and learn from our successes. So, here's my QUESTION OF THE DAY: --the point of reading is_______________________. Blog me...

Also, let me know what you want posted, you can post it anonymously and then respond once I get the pic up...I miss you all.

gotta love this author

Reading connesiour that I am (I know, that's spelled wrong), I have got to tell you about an author I just discovered. Okay, so she starts with a book about teen stuff and it was awesome. Then she comes out with this new book called Perfect Chemistry, and it's like a modern kind of Romeo and Juliet, and it's really, really, good. You have to get a parent note because you know how Lalk can be about that stuff, but its worth it. Her name is Simone Elkeles, and she has one of the coolest websites I've seen for an author and there's this cheezy video on Amazon that makes it seem like High School Musical, but trust me it's totally not. Actually, the video is pretty cute. I showed the class until Lalk said three times was enough. lol

okay, I can't get the video on here, but here's the link...

She's hilarious, writes for girls and boys...and she's got another one coming out in April. Please Ms. Lalk? hint hint hint

TRAVEL TEAM--I get it already!!!

Why can't we get Lupica to come to our school to speak!!!? I know, money. But I have to say, the man's a genius--he took an era of boys without anything interesting to read, (or so they complained:) and made them passionate about reading again. Even Lupica's other books such as The Red Zone, which they can't test on, is always checked out. What is it about this author that boys and girls are drawn to? What does he offer that others don't?
