Apparently these books are awesome...reminiscent of Walter Dean Myers' look at urban life through literature, young readers are eating these books up. What has been your experience with the series? One student just wrote the author/publisher and received a poster and their newest book to be released. Do you think their subject matter is appropriate for teens here? What are your thoughts?
I love this series. I am the student that just wrote the author/publisher. When I received the poster and the newest book I felt so special and greatful. This is the best series in the whole wide world. I could read these books again and again and I would still enjoy them. The author does a great job with the writing. I can really picture everything in this book. These books rock!

These books are awesome books. When I read them I just can't stop until I finish the one I'm reading. Then I want to run and get the next one. No books have ever done that to me before because I really hate reading any books.
