13 Reasons Why...

I could probably give you 13 reasons why this is the most demanded and gripping book being passed around right now! Let me know what you think. Is the story age appropriate? Is this REAL life for teenagers? Does this happen in schools like ours?

http://www.thirteenreasonswhy.com/ I found this great website by Jay Asher, the author of 13 Reasons...very interesting...

  4. I'm in the middle of this book right now, and it's so hard to put it down! The way the author makes Hannah sounds still alive is amazing! I recommened this for anyone who enjoys books that have a weird feeling. The story is age appropriate, all though I don't recommened it for people that are emotional.

  6. This was a very hard book for me to read because I can relate to it so much. What made it even harder was the fact that you know there is no happy ending. Hannah is already dead. But the author did manage a good twist. This is a very important book to read because it shows words hurt, actions hurt. Whatever you do in life affects someone. So always think before you say or do, and if you know you did something wrong, correct it, don't expect the other person to just understand.

  7. "Thirteen Reasons Why" is eerie, beautiful, and devastating. I got this book right before Christmas break, I thought it was just going to be one of those books I never got around to reading. I started reading it on my way to Michigan and I read it in one day! It is a really good book, but it is also really sad. I would not recommend this book if you like happy ending. I can relate to this book because some times I feel like Hannah, but I would never kill myself. If you ever feel like Hannah there is a website that can help you, it is.. www.hopeline.com. This is one of my favorite books, hope you read it!

  8. This book was definatly one of the greatest books i have ever read. I finished the book the first day i got it. What got me most was that it was so realistic and true, like the author could see into a real world that most adults dont know. She managed to portray the way a suicidal person thinks and feels without crossing any of the wrong lines. And to me the most important part was when she went to see her councilor. In my English class this year we have a famous tendency to find someone to blame in each of the pieces of literature we read, and in this one i dont care about any of the kids. In my opinion the suicide is very much the councilors fault. I dont think the councilor ever couldve solved her problems. i find that when the councilor is involved in problems, he/she causes more confliction than what they solve. but just taking the problem for what it was, and not letting hannah just walk away couldve saved a life.
